What we quote is what you pay. No hidden extras, no day-of surprises. Ever.
A typical 4kWp residential system costs between £6,000–£8,000 installed. Battery storage adds £3,000–£5,000. In-roof systems, scaffolding on tall Bath terraces and three-phase work can change the figure, which is why we quote after a survey. Qualifying residential solar & battery installations are 0% VAT (until 31 March 2027), and our quotes are fixed.
Most residential solar installations are completed in one to two days depending on system size. In-roof systems and projects combined with a reroof take longer. We'll confirm the exact timeline when we survey your property.
Not always. Without a battery you use solar while it's generating and export the rest. A battery stores daytime generation for the evening and can charge on a cheap overnight tariff, so it tends to suit households that are out during the day, have an EV or heat pump, or are on a time-of-use tariff. We size it from your usage, or tell you if it isn't worth it.

Every grid-connected system has to be registered with the local network operator, National Grid Electricity Distribution in this area. Smaller systems are notified after installation; larger systems, and some with batteries, need approval before we fit them. We handle the application as part of the job.
SEG pays you for surplus electricity you export back to the grid. With an MCS certificate for your installation you're eligible to earn £150–£500 a year depending on your system and energy supplier.
Yes, but less. Panels generate from daylight, not just direct sun, though heavy cloud often cuts output to around 10–25% of a bright day. That's why we quote on annual generation, which already allows for UK weather.
We don't currently offer finance ourselves. Most of our customers self-fund or use their own borrowing, and some banks offer green home improvement loans worth asking about. We keep our pricing fixed and transparent so you know exactly what you're funding before you commit.
